Azerbaijani border guards intercept 7 trespassers

In the second half of June, the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan has intercepted 7 trespassers, of whom 4 attempted to cross the border with counterfeit documents and 3 with others’ documents.

Iraqi citizen Omar Ahmed Hasaballah (1987), who was on a transit flight via a Baku-Riga-Stockholm route on June 15, was found to be carrying with someone else’s card of permanent residence in Sweden, the SBS press service told APA.

On June 19, Russian citizen Inalov Umar Akhamidovich, flying from Dubai to Baku on June 19, was found to have presented a counterfeit Russian passport to border controllers. The detainee was also carrying a Ukrainian passport. Further investigations revealed he has been wanted in Russia since 2016.

Azerbaijani citizen Fizuli Hasanov (1962), who arrived in the country by St. Petersburg-Ganja flight on June 20, was found to be carrying his brother’s passport.

It was found out that Sri-Lankan citizen Vijayaseelan Tanjeeva (1996), who was on a transit flight a Dubai-Baku-Milan flight on June 25, falsified the card for residence in Italy.

In addition, two Iraqi citizens Jaafar Ammar Musa and Al Saeed Muhammad Jawad Jamal and one Bulgarian citizen Dimitrov Valentin Konstantinov were detained while attempting to illegally cross the Azerbaijani border with fake documents.
