Azerbaijani police should bring their activities in line with modern requirements and conduct a more decisive fight against crime, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a congratulatory message addressed to police authorities in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani police, APA reports.
The president said in the message that the Azerbaijani police are a key structure with a high level of discipline and professionalism, well-equipped in terms of material and technical capabilities.
The message goes on to mention that government is constantly taking measures to strengthen the social protection of workers of interior agencies, noting that government support in this respect will continue into the future.
The head of state strongly emphasized his confidence that interior bodies will continue to carry out their duties with honor.
