Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman/Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) has accused their opponents of avoiding face-to-face meetings in the open political arena.

“Our opponents avoid face-to-face meetings in the open political arena and indecently behave in social networks, which is not within the scope of political culture,” Ahmadov said on Thursday at an event dedicated to the National Salvation Day, APA reports.

Ahmadov noted that young YAP members actively use social networks.

“I wish our young people don’t weaken, but rather increase their activity in this field. Unfortunately, our opponents use technological opportunities in a way that is not in line with political ethics,” he said.

Ahmadov stated that it is not possible to prevent abuse of social networks nowadays, and expressed hope that this situation will change in the future.

“Our opponents indecently behave in social networks. All this does not correspond to political reality. Unfortunately, some young people around them have chosen this path. I would like our young people not to give free rein to those who use social networks in a way that is incompatible with political ethics and humanity,” he added.
