Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has invited Ukraine to join the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) project.
The Ukrainian president’s press service announced the aforementioned in a statement made after the meeting of the two countries' presidents, who are in the Turkish city of Eskiseher to attend the opening ceremony of the TANAP project, APA reports.
During the meeting the presidents focused on further expansion of cooperation in the energy sphere.
The sides also expressed consent to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Ukraine trilateral format.
