Azerbaijani emergency situations minister arrives in quake-hit Zagatala district - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov on Wednesday arrived in the country’s Zagatala district affected by a strong earthquake on late Tuesday, APA reports.

The minister will inspect the quake-affected areas.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has also made a statement on Kamaladdin Heydarov’s visit to Zagatala.

The minister and other officials of the ministry will visit the quake-hit areas and conduct an inspection, reads the statement.

Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov on Wednesday left for the country’s Zagatala district affected by a strong earthquake on late Tuesday, APA reports.

The minister together with the leadership of the Zagatala district executive authority will visit the quake-affected villages and meet with local residents.

A 6-magnitude earthquake struck Azerbaijan’s Zagatala district on June 5. The quake was recorded at 11:40 PM local time.

No causalities have been reported after the quake. However, some houses were slightly damaged.
