Development of the healthcare system in Azerbaijan remains the center of attention, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
New medical facilities are being built in Azerbaijan, the president said at a meeting with the staff of the Naftalan City Central Hospital in Goranboy on June 5, APA reports.
“These facilities are provided with modern equipment,” said the head of state, adding that the construction of five more new hospitals will be completed this year.
President Aliyev noted that complex measures are underway for development of Naftalan.
“Naftalan is returning its former popularity. Modern sanatoriums and hotels operate here. Measures will be further continued in this regard. Azerbaijan has great opportunities for development of all areas of tourism, including medical tourism,” he said.
