SOCAR’s activity is not limited by oil and gas production and transportation, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said at the 25th Caspian Oil and Gas Conference.
According to him, Azerbaijan’s hydrocarbon reserves are important stimulus for development of refinery and chemical industry: ‘Today, SOCAR is increasing its revenues from oil and gas industry. Projects in this direction will be integrated with existing industrial enterprises and their effectiveness will be increased’.
Abdullayev noted that new Gas Refinery Complex is planned to be built: ‘Natural gas, especially associated gas will be treated from carbon gas. We are ready for negotiations with new partners showing interest in this project’.
