Azerbaijani MP, Chairman of the parliament’s Labor and Social Policy Committee has proposed reducing the number of children for the notion of multiple-children family from 5 to 3.
He noted that the reason for this is the sharp decrease in the number of children in modern times.
"In this regard, I think that there is no demographic problem in Azerbaijan due to the natural population growth of 1.2-1.3,” the MP said.
Rajabli suggested that couples wanting to marry be given one month before the marriage contract.
"During that time period, courses should be organized for them at the Registration of Citizenship Status Acts departments to make sure they understand family values; we must enlighten people about the responsibility of marriage,” he added.
