"Depending on the economic conditions, small entrepreneurs are the most vulnerable. Therefore, taxes have been simplified for small entrepreneurs,” Nijat Imanov, deputy director of the department of tax policy and strategic research under the Ministry of Taxes, said on Saturday.
He made the remarks at the 2nd Finance and Investment Forum (FIF2018) under the motto ‘Digital Business Trends’, APA-Economics reported.
According to him, the tax turnover of most of small entrepreneurs is less than 100,000 manats.
"We are not interested to tighten control over small entrepreneurs. Our goal is to stimulate the transition from the small entrepreneurship class to the middle class. 2018 will be a year of transition for entrepreneurs. This period allows entrepreneurs to declare all transactions, so that we can ensure transparency. This transition period should be used effectively. Everyone in the first half of the year should define their strategy," he said.
