A bill on amendments to the law “On education” was discussed at the meeting of the Parliament’s Committee on Science and Education on May 2, APA reports.
The meeting was chaired by head of the Committee, Isa Habibbayli. It was proposed to amend the age indicator in the provision on commencing the preschool education.
According to Habibbayli, the preschool education commences at the age of 3.
“However, it is late to involve children to preschool institutions at the age of 3. It was decided to commence the preschool education at the age of 1 in order to meet the real demands of population. There are facts of involving 2-3 month-old children to kindergartens in the world. We offer to make amendments to the law “On education” on involving children to kindergartens at the age of 1,” he noted.
In order to adapt to the law “On preschool education”, it was also offered to make amendments to the laws “On education”, “On Social Adaptation of People Released from imprisonment in Penitentiaries”, “On civil service”, “On fire safety” and to the Labor Code.
The bill was recommended to the plenary session of the Parliament.
