Owners of 6 houses damaged in Baku landslide zone receive financial aid

Under the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, the owners of six private houses damaged as a result of the landslide on the slope of Bayil in Baku have received one-time financial assistance.

This was announced at a meeting of the Sabail District Executive Authority dedicated to the outcomes of the socio-economic development of the first quarter of 2018 and the forthcoming tasks, APA reports.

It was noted that the landslide zone on the slope of Bayil in Baku’s Sabail district activated as a result of atmospheric precipitation in January 2018. Four private houses were completely and 2 houses were partially damaged as a result of the landslide that occurred on February 10, 2018.

The Sabail District Executive Authority established a special headquarters in order to ensure the security of the residents.

The Cabinet of Ministers allocated funds for temporary rent of housing for 98 families relocated from the landslide zone.

Experts are currently carrying out inspections in the landslide zone and a final decision on the buildings located there will be taken based on their conclusions.

Under the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, a lump sum of AZN 700 per square meter will be given to the owners of the four completely collapsed houses and another two houses which are partially collapsed. Moreover, they will receive AZN 1,500 for the damaged household items.
