Amount of financial assistance for owners of damaged houses in Baku landslide zone determined

Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has signed an order on granting a lump sum to the owners of 6 private houses which were damaged in a landslide in Bayil, Baku’s Sabail district, on 10 February 2018, Israfil Karimov, an official of the Sabail District Executive Authority, told APA.

According to the order, added Karimov, a lump sum of AZN 700 per square meter will be given to the owners of the four completely collapsed houses and another two houses which are partially collapsed. Moreover, they will receive AZN 1,500 for the damaged household items.

The money will be transferred to the bank accounts of the heads of family by the Sabail district executive authority in 3 days.

The Sabail district executive authority is due to ensure the demolition of the six private houses.

It is noteworthy that the landslide, which occurred in February, damaged 6 houses. As a consequence, more than 90 families were relocated.

Ninety-eight families are being given a monthly rent fee.
