No law violations were recorded at Azerbaijan’s presidential election on April 11, Latvian MP Romans Naudins said at a press conference in Baku, APA reports.
“We visited 10 polling stations and there were no law violations,” he noted.
Naudins said one of the key issues he paid attention to has to do with people with limited mobility.
"There were all conditions for people with limited mobility to participate in the voting. In addition, boxes were sent to some homes. In all the polling stations where I observed the voting, there were banners of propaganda so that people could learn about candidates. There was a very simple system for citizens at the entrance to the polling stations. This system does not exist in my country. Compared to previous periods, there is a marked improvement in the electoral process in Azerbaijan. I have observed elections in many countries. It is almost the same system everywhere, but the bulletins with trimmed edges here in Azerbaijan were a novelty for me. This is a very good situation,” he added.
