Ambassador Parvin Mirzazade, the Head of the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan received Chargé d'Affaires of Croatia in the country Refik Sabanovic on April 10, the Foreign Ministry told APA.
Sabanovic presented a note from Croatia’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs to Parvin Mirzazade.
The note gives the news of the establishment of the Baku-headquartered Embassy of Croatia in Azerbaijan. Until now, Croatia's accredited embassy in Azerbaijan has been operating in a temporary office on a non-resident basis.
Ambassador Parvin Mirzazade said that the opening of the Croatian embassy will give impetus to the further expansion and promotion of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
