Jankauskas: EU supports development of transport hub in Azerbaijan

European Union supports development of transport hub in Azerbaijan, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Kestutis Jankauskas said at the presentation of project on EU assistance to operation opportunities of Port of Baku in Alat.

‘Azerbaijan has a strong infrastructure. We’ll try for supplying Port of Baku with the newest technologies. At the same time, software support will also be provided. Moreover, support in management, human resources, IT will be provided. Modern information and communication technologies will allow to observe the place of cargos, operations on them, time of leaving the port and delivery to the neighboring ports’.

Jankauskas said that €260,000-project has been implemented on the Port of Baku. At the same time, €1 million was allocated for the current project.
