The International North-South Transportation Corridor (INSTC) is important in terms of establishing a direct connection between India and Azerbaijan, India's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sanjay Rana said on Tuesday, APA reports.
“Until now, there has been no direct connection between India and Azerbaijan. In this regard, the North-South Corridor is important,” the envoy noted.
“We are negotiating with the Azerbaijani government. We are also aware of the work done by the Azerbaijani government in this direction,” he said, expressing hope that the North-South Corridor will facilitate the transportation of goods between the two countries.
The North-South corridor will connect India with the Iranian ports, Russia and Northern Europe, the ambassador added.
