Azerbaijan is a very important member of the OSCE, said the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, George Tsereteli, who is on a visit to Baku, APA reports.
He noted that the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA is carrying out effective activities.
“Together with the Azerbaijani delegation we are implementing the Silk Road project. Today we see its first results,” Tsereteli said, noting that there are currently 22 members of the OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group.
The OSCE PA president stressed that Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey are developing a concrete and extremely important part of the Silk Way project – the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars.
“Connecting countries is very important. This opens up wide opportunities for business as well,” Tsereteli added.
