Azerbaijan’s border guards have detained four foreigners and one Azerbaijani citizen for attempting to illegally cross the state border.
On March 8, three citizens of Sri Lanka – Sinnaiyappilai Dadees (1988), Sinnaiyappilai Jagatheesan (1982) and Jeevathasan Ashuimi (1995) – were detained while attempting to trespass Azerbaijan’s Goytapa border checkpoint at the border with Iran, the State Border Service told APA.
On the same day, one woman – Sara Bukavadze (1999) – was detained at Azerbaijan’s border guards over an attempt to illegal cross the state border with Georgia.
In addition, one Uzbek national Yerzhasheva Mavhukhov Gafurovna (1989) was detained while trying to illegally cross Azerbaijan’s state border with Iran in the direction of Nakhcivan on March 9.
