A new procedure for financing the education of Azerbaijani youth in prestigious foreign universities is defined, APA reports.
The new procedure is reflected in the decree signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on March 7 on measures to improve governance in the field of youth policy.
In the Charter of the public legal entity "Youth fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan" established on the basis of the Youth Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it is noted that one of the responsibilities of the organization is financing the educational process of students in prestigious foreign universities, as well as financing participants of internships in international organizations. At the same time, young people from low-income families will receive financial support from the Fund to get a place in the dormitory of the relevant educational institution.
It should be noted that earlier education of Azerbaijani youth in foreign universities was carried out in accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On the State Program for the Education of Azerbaijani Youth in Foreign Countries. “In accordance with the order, the "State program for the education of Azerbaijani youth abroad for 2007-2015" was prepared, which provides for the education of talented Azerbaijani youth abroad.
