USD operations decline 1.9-fold in Azerbaijan

By contrast to January 2017, the foreign currency market increased 1.94-fold in the reporting period of 2018, APA-Economics reports according to the statistics of the Central Bank.

In January 2018, the USD operations amounted to $358,154,700, up 1.85-fold from $ 193,198,000 in the reporting period of 2017.

In the reporting period of 2018, $162,487,300 was sold, up 24.65% from previous year. At the same time, $195,667,400 was bought, up 3.11-fold in comparison to a year earlier.

Compared to December, purchase of USD by banks increased by 0.39%, sale by 24.65% in January.

Euro operations amounted to EUR 57,709,700 in January 2018, up 2.79-fold from EUR 20,718,100 in January 2017.

In the reporting period of 2017, EUR 45,609,400 was sold, up 3.92-fold from previous year. At the same time, EUR 12,100,300 was bought, up 2.02-fold in comparison to a year earlier.

Compared to December, purchase of euro by banks decreased by 2.39%, sale – by increased by 0.14% in January.
