The necessary procedural measures were taken immediately after the information on the discovery of the bodies of six people in an apartment in the Azerbaijani city of Sumgayit was received, the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
The victims are Sumgayit city residents Rafig Huseynov (born in 1961), Yegana Huseynova (born in 1965), Sara Huseynova (born in 1987), Farid Abbasov (born in 2009), Zenfira Abbasova (born in 2010) and Yegana Abbasova (born in 2012).
According to the preliminary examination of bodies, the Sumgayit residents died of carbon monoxide poisoning. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 314.3 (negligence - causing the death of two or more persons) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan
Currently, the causes of the incident are being investigated, and other necessary investigative measures are being carried out.
