Acute respiratory viral infection and flu epidemic rapidly spread in the autumn and winter period in Azerbaijan, Surkhay Musayev, professor of the department of children’s diseases of the Azerbaijan Medical University, said on Thursday, APA reports.

He said that a prolonged illness leads to pneumonia. “This virus, which spreads rapidly between children and adults, is the cause of the heat that does not drop for weeks,” the professor said.

According to the WHO report, on average, 10 percent of people in the world have a high immune system, Musayev said, adding. “The remaining 80 percent of people depend on their immunity. This is due to their lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity, environmental factors and sleep patterns.”
