One of Azerbaijanis injured in Russia apartment fire dies

One of the Azerbaijanis injured after a fire broke out in an apartment in the Russian city of Orenburg on Feb. 12 has died in hospital, Yashar Masimov, head of the local Azerbaijani diaspora told APA’s Russia bureau.

Sevinc Guliyeva (born 1969), who was injured as a result of the fire, passed away in hospital today, said Masimov.

“Currently, three of the injured are in hospital, and they are in critical condition,” he added.

A fire broke out in an apartment in the Russian city of Orenburg on Feb. 12, killing four people.

The victims have been identified as Hatem (Namiq) Guliyev (born 1980), his 3-year-old daughter Leyla and 6-year-old son Eysavar, and Gabil Garayev (born 1967). Five others – Sevinj Guliyeva (born 2009), Ayten Guliyeva (born 1995), Izzat Guliyeva (born 1936), Sadagat Guliyeva (born 1992) and Sevinj Guliyeva (born 1969) – received severe burn injuries as a result of the fire.
