Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev will lead the organization’s observation mission in the upcoming presidential election in Azerbaijan, APA reported citing RIA Novosti.
The decision was reached today at the meeting in Minsk of the CIS Permanent Representatives’ Council.

Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev said on Tuesday he could lead the organization’s observation mission in the upcoming presidential election in Azerbaijan, APA reported citing TASS.
Lebedev made the remarks before the meeting of the CIS Permanent Representatives’ Council.
He said that the CIS permanent representatives will today raise the issue of electing head of the CIS observation mission in Azerbaijan’s presidential election.
“It’s proposed to nominate my candidacy,” Lebedev added.
