Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Vitezslav Pivonka, who is going to complete his diplomatic tenure in the country in early April, will continue to serve as ambassador to Russia, APA reports.
Pivonka said his nomination was approved by Moscow.
"I will complete my diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan in early April," he said.
Pivonka praised his new appointment as very important.
"Russia is a key partner of the Czech Republic and energy is the main direction of our cooperation,” he added.
