In Western countries there is an aggressive minority that impedes the establishment of relations with Russia, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov told a press conference on Tuesday, APA reported citing RIA Novosti.
“We, of course, are dealing with our economy, developing our opportunities to be independent of this kind of excesses, because there is a small but aggressive minority that does not allow the West to normalize relations with Russia,” he added.
Relations between Russia and Western countries have worsened due to the situation in Ukraine and around the Crimea. The West, accusing Russia of interference, imposed sanctions on it, Moscow took retaliatory measures.
