Georgia believes in the power of dialogue between the parties in resolving the ongoing conflicts in the region, said the country’s state minister for reconciliation and civil equality, Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

She made the remarks in response to the question of Fuad Muradov, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Euronest PA, at the organization’s committee meeting in Tbilisi on Monday, an APA correspondent reported from Tbilisi.

Fuad Muradov said that although there are contacts between the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian leadership makes every effort to prevent it. He asked about the experience of dialogue between the parties to the conflict in Georgia.

Tsikhelashvili, in turn, noted that building contacts between the parties to the conflict is of great importance. “Only this way it possible to overcome the invisible barriers,” she added.
