EU-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council's meeting kicks off in Brussels

The 15th meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council has today kicked off in Brussels.

During the meeting, chaired by EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, the sides are expected to discuss the state of the EU-Azerbaijan relations in the framework of the Eastern Partnership and the European Neighborhood Policy, APA reports.

The discussion will also cover such topics as ongoing negotiations on the new EU-Azerbaijan bilateral agreement, economic and trade cooperation, as well as ongoing economic reforms in Azerbaijan.

Moreover, the Cooperation Council members will discuss energy cooperation and issue on the Southern Gas Corridor project.

Mammadyarov and Mogherini will also touch upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and regional issues.
