Azerbaijani army prevents Armenian provocation, one enemy soldier killed

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces have prevented attempted provocation of the Armenian army in the direction of the country’s Fuzuli district, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told APA.

The ministry was commenting on Armenian reports of the alleged killing of Armenian soldier Hayk Kalantaryan as a result of the ceasefire violation.

One Armenian soldier was killed and two were seriously wounded as a result of preventive measures taken by the Azerbaijani army. The Armenian forces were forced to retreat, the defense ministry said.

The Azerbaijani army fully controls the operational situation on the frontline.
