"I would like to remind you of a statement which President Ilham Aliyev made in one of his official trips to the Russian Federation: If relations between countries all over the world were the same as between Azerbaijan and Russia, there would be no problems in the world. I believe that these words indicate the course of Azerbaijani-Russian relations,” Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov said at an event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Russia-Azerbaijan diplomatic relations in the State Duma, APA’s Moscow correspondent reported.
He thanked the State Duma and its Committee for CIS Affairs for the organization of the exhibition.
“I am sure that such meetings, such exhibitions will contribute to further development and deepening of Azerbaijan-Russia relations. Official visits, meetings of the heads of our states play an important role in the development of our relations. Within the framework of these visits, more than 200 bilateral documents were signed between our countries. I am confident that Azerbaijani-Russian relations will develop every year,” he added.
