President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet senior EU officials in Bulgaria’s Varna city late March to discuss Turkey-EU relations, as well as regional and international issues, according to spokesperson of European Council president on Tuesday, APA reports quoting AA.

Erdogan, European Council President Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Bulgarian Premier Boyko Borisov are scheduled to attend a summit on March 26.

Regional and international issues would also be tabled during the meeting, Preben Aamann tweeted.

“We would like to propose to hold another meeting at leader’s level. Prime Minister Borisov, as the leader of the country holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union, has kindly agreed to host this meeting at a working dinner,” an EU letter, shared by Aamann, said.

Citing the previous summit held on May 25, 2017, the letter said, many high-level initiatives have been taken place on transport, economic cooperation, counter terrorism and foreign policy.

The meeting would be a good opportunity to "jointly assess matters of mutual interests and recent developments," it added.
