Alcoholic drink made in Karabakh on sale as Armenian product in Moscow

Armenians have put on sale in Moscow an alcoholic drink called “Artsakh tutovy”, made in the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

The drink, available at Moscow’s Ashan, Lenta, and other shop networks, is labeled as a product of Artsakh Brandy Company OJSC, APA’s Moscow correspondent reported.

The place of manufacture is shown as “Aygestan, Republic of Armenia”.

However, it has turned out that the product is in fact made in Azerbaijan’s occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region. So, the territory called “Aygestan” is Askeran district’s Ballija village, which was attached to the Azerbaijani district of Khojaly in 1991. This village, which is under Armenian occupation, was renamed by Armenians to “Aygestan”.

Earlier, Armenians had put on sale in Russia mulberry, cranberry vodka called “Karabakh”. Now Armenians started to label their products as “Artsakh” and their production address is indicated not as “NKR” but “Republic of Armenia.” Armenians, through such actions, aim to ensure the access of products illegally made in the occupied Azerbaijani territories to the Russian and world markets.
