In accordance with the defense order program, facilities of Azerbaijan’s Defense Industry Ministry carried out the necessary work to launch the manufacturing of 136 types of defense products covering 126 directions, said the country’s Defense Industry Minister, Yavar Jamalov.
He made the remarks on Friday at a meeting dedicated to the outcome of the work done by the Ministry of Defense Industry in 2017, APA reported.
It was also noted at the meeting that last year the ministry's Scientific-Research Institute carried out the necessary work on 31 directions, 15 of which are related to defense products.
In addition, the National Aerospace Agency carried out work on 34 directions, in particular, on the creation of 17 defense products.
