Traffic to be restricted on some roads of Baku on January 20

Traffic will be restricted on some roads of Baku tomorrow due to commemorative events on the 28th anniversary of the 20 January tragedy.

In order to ensure the uninterrupted, continuous and secure visit of the citizens visiting Alley of Martyrs on the occasion of January 20 tragedy, traffic will been restricted from the intersection of Mikayil Mushfig street and Huseyn Javid avenue, intersection of Mikayil Mushfig circle and Metbuat avenue, M.Huseyn street – near the building of Teleteatr, intersection of Izzet Nabiyev and Abbasgulu Abbaszadeh streets, Milli Majlis in the direction of Parlament avenue beginning from 08.00 on January 20, Vagif Asadov, an official of the Baku City Main Traffic Police Office, told APA.

The Baku City Main Police Office called on drivers not to use their personal vehicles and instead to use public transportation as much as possible.

Asadov also added that tomorrow the victims of 20 January tragedy will be commemorated with a minute of silence.
