Agent banks of Azerbaijan’s Mortgage and Loan Guarantee Fund issued a record volume of mortgage loans in 2017, APA-Economics.
This is according to the Fund's 2017 annual report.
The agent banks of the Azerbaijan Mortgage and Loan Guarantee Fund issued 3,109 mortgage loans in the amount of 203.1 million manats in 2017. Last year, the fund's agent banks received 12,702 thousand requests for mortgage loans for a total of 859.7 million manats. In 2017, 1,076 thousand social mortgage loans were issued for a total of AZN 70.6 million. In 2017, the Fund refinanced 2.86 thousand loans in the amount of 184.2 million manats.
From 2006 to 2017, about 21.3 thousand mortgage loans were issued by the Fund for a total of 944.3 million manats. Of these funds, 278.7 million manats accounted for 6.238 thousand social mortgage loans.
