The former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk was detained at the Geneva airport (Switzerland), APA reports quoting strana.ua.

As noted, he flew to Switzerland by flight 0485 Kyiv-Geneva and was stopped for checking his documents by law enforcers.

"He was apparently flying with his daughter, he was stopped on passport control and they began to study his diplomatic green passport. All the time they talked about Interpol, discussed for a long time, and after this they took him away apparently to find out the circumstances, "the eyewitness said.

"Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who flew to Geneva with his youngest daughter, was stopped by passport control at the request of Russia - for all the already known absurd accusations of participating in military operations in Chechnya," wrote press secretary of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

We recall that Arseniy Yatsyuk is former Prime Minister of Ukraine (2014-2016). From December 11, 2012 to February 28, 2014 he was chairman of the Batkivshchyna political faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
