Russian athletes may carry national flag at 2018 Olympics closing if IOC demands met

Russian athletes will have an opportunity to carry the Russian flag at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang if the ban on the Russian National Olympic Committee is lifted, Alexander Zhukov, the President of the committee told reporters, APA reports quoting TASS.

"If the demands of the International Olympic Committee are observed, the ban on the Russian National Olympic Committee may be lifted on the last day of the Olympics and in this case the Russian athletes [who get permission to participate in the Games under the neutral flag - TASS] will have an opportunity to carry their country’s flag at the closing ceremony," Zhukov said.
