A reception was held in Baku on the occasion of the Japanese Emperor's birthday on Dec.5, APA reported.
The Emperor is turning 84 on December 23, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Teruyuki Katori addressing the event.
Noting the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of Japan and Azerbaijan this year, the ambassador said that relations and cooperation in different spheres between the two countries have been developing steadily over this period.
The ambassador underlined that the simplification of visa issuance for Azerbaijani passport owners has started since Dec.1.
“I wish for increase of mutual visits between the Azerbaijani and Japanese people and deepening of friendly relations,” he added.
