Siyavush Novruzov, MP, deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), said it is wrong of the Musavat Party to claim to be a successor to the Musavat of the period of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR).
Addressing today’s parliamentary meeting, Novruzov recalled that the Azerbaijani president signed an order on the celebration of the ADR’s centenary, and this is a national issue, APA reports.
He noted that the party, by declaring itself a successor, acts against national principles.
“The ADR belongs to the people of Azerbaijan and its history. The current Musavat party is completely different from the one during the ADR period. No one can harm national principles,” added MP Novruzov.
