Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on Culture Rafael Huseynov said that dissatisfaction with the insufficient state financing of the theatre and cinema industry in the country was expressed during a joint discussion of the state budget package for 2018, APA reported.
Huseynov noted that privileges should be applied for the development of cinematography in the country.
The committee chairman also said that the funding of the theatre industry in the country decreased by 300 percent compared to previous years.
He noted that it will negatively affect this area and underscored the need to increase funds.
