Azerbaijan condemns the missile attack against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and such negative facts can even further worsen already tense situation in the region, Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, said in his response to APA’s inquiry.
“We call for doubling of diplomatic political efforts to provide sustainable peace and predictability in the region,” Hajiyev stressed.
Saudi Arabia said on November 4 that it had intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemen, after a loud explosion was heard near Riyadh airport on Saturday evening.
The missile was destroyed over the capital and fragments landed in the airport area, officials quoted by the official Saudi Press Agency said.
