The agenda of Azerbaijan-Russia relations was discussed at last night’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and it was found that there is no issue awaiting a solution, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

President Aliyev made the remarks during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Federation Council, Co-Chairman of the bilateral commission Ilyas Umakhanov and Chairman of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation Khizri Shikhsaidov on Nov. 2, APA reported.

“What we did was just look back at our achievements and the results of our cooperation in the economic, transport, energy, and political fields. We also gave instructions to relevant bodies to define future ways to develop our relations. That is to say, our relations have reached such a point where there is no issue—even at the level of presidents—awaiting for a solution,” noted the Azerbaijani president.

The head of state stressed that all issues between Azerbaijan and Russia are being settled successfully.

“Today, Russia and Azerbaijan are demonstrating a high level of neighborliness, partnership and reliable friendship,” he said.

President Aliyev added that the close relations existing between the two peoples continue to develop successfully.
