Eight security personnel lost their lives in an armed stanfoff among Turkish Armed Forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Hakkari's Åžemdinli district in Turkey's southeast on early Nov.2, APA reported citing Hurriyet.
Four PKK militants were killed in the fight, and an operation supported by choppers began in the area afterwards.
