“Cooperation between Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia is natural as our peoples have historical and geographical links,” said President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev to journalists after the trilateral summit of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
Azerbaijani President noted that this cooperation is important for ensuring security and promotes the implementation of infrastructure projects: "Increase in trade turnover is a sign of economic development in our countries."
Ilham Aliyev said that the fall in oil prices did not affect the economy of Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan and Iran were provided with funds for construction of the Rasht-Astara railway,” added Ilham Aliyev.
