The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway project will increase cooperation opportunities between allied countries in the area of transport, Kestutis Jankauskas, head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, said on Tuesday, APA reported.
He said the new project has also new trade opportunities to offer.
“The railroad, like another other roads, provides better ties, more passengers, and more travel opportunities. This is going to be one of the themes of discussion at the Eastern Partnership summit to take place in November,” he added.
