Baku City Main Police Office said at an operational consultation on Thursday that 450 traffic accidents in Baku killed 139 and injured 392 people during the nine months of this year, APA reported.
It was noted that, compared to the corresponding period of 2016, the number of traffic accidents decreased by 8.2% and that of the injured went down by 23.9%, while the number of the killed increasing by 0.7%.
14.4% more (+81.911) or 648.897 administrative offences, including 396.286 (-54.037, 450.323) offences due to non-compliance with speed mode, 19.498 (+13.248, 6.250) due to overtaking and violation of maneuver regulations, 1.986 (-1.295, 3.281) due to drunk driving were detected in the traffic control process.
As a result, detection of general rule violations (0.6) and detection of gross violations (0.3) were increased, as well as appropriate measures in respect of 70 (49) auto hooligans were carried out.
