Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received a delegation led by Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani Oct. 19.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and members states, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.
It was noted that the Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf functions as a frame for bilateral relations to develop on an institutional basis.
They also voiced their approval of the launch of direct flights and of the fact the number coming to Azerbaijan from member states is one the rise, stressing the importance of ramping up efforts in this direction.
The sides expressed confidence that the Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States Business Forum to be held in Baku on October 19-20 this year will create favorable conditions for further development of cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, investment and tourism.
A number of issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
