SOCAR’s strategic development priorities include expansion of activity in foreign markets, implementation of investment programs and establishment of productive economic links, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said at the Argus Azerbaijan International Petroleum Summit 2017.
According to him, SOCAR has companies in Turkey, Ukraine, Romania: “This list includes Kulevi terminal in Georgia, SOCAR Energy Georgia. SOCAR Trading strengthened its positions in Geneva, Singapore, UAE, Nigeria, Vietnam, Malta, Eastern and Western Europe, North and West Africa and Mediterranean Sea. SOCAR Trading has won the tender on energy supply, construction of power stations and gasifying of Malta. As part of the project, it’s planned to supply Malta with liquefied gas in the equivalent of 400 millon cubic meters of natural gas”.
