A house fire left five people dead in Rezh town of Russia’s Sverdlovsk Oblast on the night of October 9, APA reported citing RIA Novosti.
According to the local police, the persons killed in the fire were two brothers and their acquaintances.
“On the eve of the tragedy, one of the brothers received a pension for the first time and decided to celebrate this with his friends. Most likely, they fell asleep after drinking, and discarded cigarettes caused the fire. At the same time, seven people participated in the party, two of whom later went home,” the police said.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
