Azerbaijan is the most important partner for Germany in the South Caucasus, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Kindsgrab told reporters on Tuesday, APA reported.
The ambassador noted with regret that the recent economic crisis has had an impact on the trade with Azerbaijan. He said that despite this, German companies are keen to become partners of Azerbaijani companies.
The diplomat went on to say that a German-Azerbaijani economic business forum will take place this year.
“Numerous German companies will join this forum. In addition, the next meeting of the high-level working group established between Azerbaijan and Germany is expected in Berlin in autumn this year. Future economic projects will be discussed at this meeting,” he said.
Expressing his confidence in the future economic development of Azerbaijan, the ambassador said that German companies will contribute to this process.
